The head of the Sulzberger
family who arrived in Tasmania
aboard the Montmorency on 29
In 1855 the Sulzberger family immigrated from their
home town, Grossbottwar in Wurttemberg,
Germany. On the 29th of June of that same year
they arrived in Launceston, Tasmania aboard the
Montmorency. To celebrate this event a Sulzberger
reunion will be held on the weekend of the 25th
and 26th June 2005 in Launceston. You are most
welcome to attend!
Highlights of the reunion weekend:
HOW TO REGISTER
A $15 fee is payable on registration for each attending adult. This fee is to cover the
administrative costs of the reunion. There is no registration fee for children.
Payment can be made by cheque in Australian dollars payable to the Sulzberger
reunion committee and posted to:

Biographical detail (optional)
Please provide the requested information about your Sulzberger family direct line,
and a short paragraph about you that is able to be used in a future family history.
This information should include birthdate and place, schooling, employment, other
occupations, marriages, deaths, etc. You may wish to provide information about
your children and / or ancestors.
If you have artifacts or photographs which are able to be displayed at the reunion,
please list these together with a brief description. This information will allow the
organisers to arrange display space. Please bring these items with you to the

Commemorative Steins for the Sulzberger reunion are being made by the
internationally renowned ceramist Rynne Tanton, past Head of School of Art at
university of Tasmania and originally from NZ. His studio is on the original Marx
